The Faith to Believe. The Knowledge to Succeed.
Middle school at Orlando Christian Prep is a time of growth, responsibility, and preparation for the future. As students transition from elementary to middle school, our teachers guide them with support and structure to help them succeed academically and personally.
OCP uses the Bob Jones University Press curriculum across all core subjects—Math, Science, English, and History—to provide consistency and a strong academic foundation grounded in a biblical worldview. The Positive Action Bible curriculum is used for Bible classes, helping students develop a deep understanding of Scripture and how to apply it in daily life.
Our 6th Grade Bridge Program is designed to ease the transition into middle school. Sixth graders have two core teachers: one for Math and Science and another for English and History, creating a supportive and structured environment.
Students also have opportunities to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on activities and projects in their classes, preparing them for advanced coursework in high school.
By the end of 8th grade, students can earn up to three high school credits in Spanish, HOPE (Health Opportunities through Physical Education), and Algebra I, setting them up for a strong start in high school.
Weekly chapel services are held on Wednesday mornings, where students gather to worship and hear from guest speakers who encourage them in their faith.
Students can personalize their learning experience through a variety of electives, including Art, Drama, Leadership, Robotics, Creative Writing, Speech, Intensive Reading, Physical Education, and Spanish.

College Prepared. World Ready.
Orlando Christian Prep offers a college-preparatory curriculum. This includes a variety of honors courses and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These AP classes give students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. OCP uses a wide variety of curriculum publishers to provide the best curriculum possible for our students. All curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective to help students develop a biblical worldview rooted in the Word of God.
The highly qualified teachers in the high school department are dedicated to each student’s success. They create a classroom environment where students are able to engage in discussion, collaborate with their peers, create projects, and participate in hands-on learning activities. Technology is routinely used in the classroom to enhance student learning. Teachers are available to help students before and after school and are committed to assisting students so they can succeed academically.
Orlando Christian Prep’s high school science lab gives students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities. These labs bring science to life and help students make meaningful connections to their learning.
In addition to core classes, students have the opportunity to choose electives such as Team Sports, Drama, Art, Career Planning, various Florida Virtual School classes, Yearbook, Multi-Media, and Leadership.
On Wednesday mornings, the high point of the week is chapel. In chapel, students are able to worship with their class and hear from a guest speaker.
